M.A., B.A., CYC.
Larissa is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and a Yorkville University graduate with a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology. Over the past nine years, she has worked in a variety of capacities supporting young people and adults experiencing a diverse range of mental health concerns.
This includes group care, child welfare, sexual exploitation, educational and community settings often in the context of crisis.
What problem do you strive to overcome?
Being a young person can be tough. Often, youth come to therapy feeling hopeless, overwhelmed, confused, or unsure about who they are and how they fit in this world.
Have you noticed that you are moving throughout life feeling overwhelmed or in endless emotional cycles? These are some of the many reasons clients may seek therapy.
I believe you have been trying your best – seeking help is nothing to be ashamed of. Sometimes, clients come to therapy after trying their usual strategies, feeling defeated and hopeless.
Solution: My focus on the therapeutic relationship aims to work through the many layers of emotions and lived experiences that life brings your way, by implementing therapeutic modalities specifically tailored to your individualized needs.
Result: With high importance placed on the therapeutic relationship, this welcomes a collaborative agenda to move through the therapeutic process on your terms.

More than just my work:
When the house is on fire, we don’t tell people to watch their tone as they yell for help – be mindful of trying to dictate how people respond to trauma. – Dr. Thema Bryant
Feeling accomplished – as a farmer, I am very task oriented! Even if that means fresh bedding for animals or knowing cows are milked.
When I’m not working, I’m likely doing something farm related.
